PRESS RELEASE: Congo Township leadership has successfully completed a comprehensive Disaster Management and Humanitarian Rescue (DRMS) seminar and certification program at the Red Cross Society Training Center in Beijing, China.

During the workshop, our delegation engaged with local communities across villages, counties, towns, and cities, learning best practices in coordinating jurisdictional activities through active citizen participation and joint development plans. The knowledge acquired will prove invaluable as Congo Township advances its decentralization efforts.

Beyond the formal training, our team built valuable professional relationships with colleagues from 10 countries worldwide, establishing networks for future collaboration and idea-sharing. These connections will strengthen Congo Township's capacity for international cooperation on disaster management and humanitarian response.

The 2026 property tax payment deadline has been extended to September 15, 2026. Residents and businesses are asked to pay their taxes at the Tax Office during regular business hours. Tax payments support essential services.
